San Remo Ristorante is an upscale, fine Italian dining establishment with three locations in Calgary.  I have known one of the partners, Marty Park, for a long time. In fact, he was our business coach during our formative years. As you can tell from the links above Marty is a busy yet talented businessman. He is smart, savvy, honest, open, ethical, and frank. From my point of view he is a joy to work with.

A couple months ago Marty and I were discussing new ways to promote the San Remo restaurants. One topic that excited both of us was a social networking campaign using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Marty felt that this would be worth the time, effort and expense so I put together a team including Doug Lacombe and Linda Wittig to work on the project.

Doug and I decided that the hub of our campaign should be Facebook. As a result, this week we launched a fan page. If you like Italian food, please login and join us a fan. We are working closely with Paula Radford who is the Marketing Manager with San Remo. She posted the first event for a Scotch & Tapas Tasting Dinner on June 11th at the Oak Bay Plaza location. Doug and I are planning to be there.

I will be posting more information as we roll out this exciting campaign.

  1. Nice work Jeff (and Doug). Good example of applying social media tactics to a local business.
    The restaurant looks beautiful. I’m always looking for new places in town to eat. Hope to try San Remo someday.
