eMarketer Newsletter

I subscribed to many enewsletters. I sign up for enewsletters published by ourĀ customers because I like to hear what they are saying about their company. I also sign up for enewsletter published by suppliers. However, most of the enewsletters that I subscribe to are related to our industry – SEO, PPC, linking, social media, and online marketing. Often I try an enewsletter for a few months to see what it is like and what I can learn. I find that if I’m not learning or the sales pitch is overwhelming, I unsubscribe.

There is one enewsletter that I like to receive on a regular basis. It is offered for free by eMarketer. Graham Stone suggested it to me a few years ago. He works with a local TV station called Global TV. Global TV offers a huge line of excellent shows including 24, Family Guy, The Office, Bones, House, Saturday Night Live and many other. I’ll also add that every spring Global TV hosts a fantastic invitation only breakfast to describe the fall line up of show. Seriously, it is the best breakfast in Calgary – if you can get a ticket. Contact information for GlobalTV is here.

Enough about breakfasts and TV and back to eMarketer. I like this enewsletter because it is research based. Every day they publish an graph showing various trends related to marketing. The topics are always relevant. Also included in the enewsletter is a catchy heading, a topical sentence and a link to the full article. I don’t read every newsletter but if a particular topic is of interest I do.

Have a look at the siteĀ http://www.emarketer.com/ and subscribe to the newsletter for a while. If you are involved in marketing your company or you are interested in various trends then this article is worth subscribing to.
